I have been maintaining radio silence the past two weeks as we wrapped up Not One of Us #34. After more than the usual number of crises, including two days during which my computer at work was too busy harrowing hell to help me, "it is finished" (to quote Jesus in one of His more stessful moments). If not for the timely intervention of [livejournal.com profile] sovay, I might have been finished instead. Subscribers (ahem) and contributors should expect their copies in about three weeks.

We call this our numinous issue. For some reason, we have lots of gods this time. And who did what to the moon? Here's the line-up:

Drink Down, by Sonya Taaffe
In Sight of the Seasons (poem), by Sonya Taaffe
His Wounds, by Patricia J. Esposito
The Word God (poem), by Eric Marin
Street Oracle (poem), by Lee Clark Zumpe
It Will Not Be Beautiful, by Patricia Russo
The Thin Men (poem), by Kristine Ong Muslim
The Eyewish Station (poem), by Mike Allen
You Don’t Exist (poem), by Kent Kruse
The Book Smeller, by Mark Steensland
Aranea (poem), by Mike Allen and Sonya Taaffe
Valley of Bones, by Harold Torger Vedeler
Autumn, or Fall (poem), by Jennifer Gomoll
The Crying Queen, by Lila Garrott
Gods with Big Heads (poem), by Karen R. Porter
Artists: HE Fassl (cover), Teresa Tunaley, Russell Dickerson, Augie Wiedemann

Work note: Implausibly, I'm on "vacation." That doesn't mean I'm going away; mostly I'm cleaning the house and doing yard work. But at least maybe I can get some rest.

Family note: Anke and the boys are at her mother's house in Luray, Virginia, this week. Our cat, Sheeba, has surgically attached herself to me. I thought cats were supposed to be aloof.
