Work-related: Our Public Health Reports article reporting the findings of post-Katrina/Rita surveys in four affected regions is finally out, 500 days after Hurricane Katrina came ashore. Thousands of people whose lives were destroyed by the hurricanes still haven’t gotten the help they need.
Here’s the citation for the article:
R.J. Blendon, J.M. Benson, C.M. DesRoches, K. Lyon-Daniel, E.W. Mitchell, W.E. Pollard, “The Public’s Preparedness for Hurricanes in Four Affected Regions,” Public Health Reports, 2007;122:167-176.
The journal is subscription-only, but friends who want to read the article can contact me.
