Everything, everything ends

The book I had been editing in my spare time for more than four years has finally been published. American Public Opinion and Health Care (CQ Press) is a 540-page, 150,000-word, 279-table reference work of 21 chapters written by 22 authors. I am co-author of eleven of the chapters, notably “End-of-Life Care,” and I did each and every one of the book’s more than 1700 notes. I need a drink.

By the way, the book costs $130, so I don't expect anyone reading this post to buy it.

Actually, I like doing bibliography too, because when I'm doing it, I can listen to music--which I can't do if I"m trying to decipher incomprehensible finance or marketing jargon.
